Spring energized seal is a high-performance seal that contains special springs in the U-type Teflon. The appropriate spring force is added to the system fluid pressure to push out the sealing lip (face). Gently press against the sealed metal surface to create a very good seal. The actuating effect of the spring can overcome the slight decentering of the metal mating surface as well as the wear of the sealing lip, while continuing to maintain the desired sealing performance.
Spring energized PTA seal is rod seal and used for standard heel groove.
