The simple mechanically pulverized PTFE recycled fine powder has a wide application range because of its large particle size, but it still retains its original properties. The main applications are as follows:
(1) Hot press forming: The PTFE recycled material is placed in a mold, placed in a sintering furnace and heated to 380 ° C for 1 to 2 hours, and then taken out and then pressed at a pressure of 15 MPa. Such recycled polytetrafluoroethylene is widely used as a low-pressure squeaky gasket, and its performance is superior to other products.
(2) Extrusion molding: the same as hot press forming, holding at 380 ° C for 1 to 2 hours; then using a plunger extrusion or spiral extrusion process to extrude the PTFE recycled material into a thick-walled pipe or bar.
(3) As a filler or additive: Most of the PTFE production is now made of PTFE recycled fine powder as a filler, mixed with a certain proportion of new materials to make products; the specific process is: recycled materials +New material + other fillers → evenly mixed → compression molding → sintering → product.
For example, the formula of a research institute is (mass parts): 100 parts of pure PTFE, 30 parts of waste PTFE powder, 70 parts of copper powder and 2 parts of molybdenum disulfide. The performance of the product is different from that of similar products. Not big. Adding recycled materials to other products, such as rubber, can significantly change their properties.
